Opera sync not working

I seem to be having the same problem with Opera 29.0.1795.47 (Ubuntu 12.04.5 LTS; x86_64; GNOME). Initially login to redir.opera.com suceeds, but sync doesn't seem to be working, and after a while it reports that it isn't working:
"Connection to the synchronization server is temporary unavailable. Will try again soon."

Mine shows everything fine in the Sync window, but nothing synced between the Desktop & Mobile. Really need a manual sync button and processing bar.

Note that only bookmarks and opened tabs are synced.

I have the same problem on Opera Beta 29.0.1795.41, the sync is being disconnected randomly. It has not been like this before.

I asked that over the weekend on Twitter and got the answer that Opera is working on the servers to stabilise sync'ing. It appears that a lot more instances of Opera sync than expected.

I was thinking of complaining on Twitter, but decided to check the forums to see if there was an official announcement. Goo to see someone getting in front of that.

I continually come back to Opera and would really like to use it as my default browser but sync doesn't work for me on Opera 30. I've installed it on two Windows PCs (Win7 & Win8.1) and an iPhone6 and bookmark sync doesn't work on any of them. So another uninstall and back to using Firefox and Safari.... again.
