Export certain settings (like custom search engines)

Is there an (easy) way to export settings from one Opera-Next browser to another installation?

Like settings & exceptions, custom search engines and the experimental settings (the ones not set to "default" at least).

Sure. Just copy your user profile folder and paste it over the user profile folder of the different installation. You can find your user profile location in the About Opera page.

But what if I only want to transfer the settings? Not the saved tabs, bookmarks and the like?

An export/import feature would be really nice...

Then don't copy the whole profile. Leave out the session files, bookmark files, and the like.

Settings in general are stored in "preferences" file; custom searchs in "web data" and flags in "local state".
