Can you post a screen shot of the message it shows you?

I'm not sure how to do that in this forum even if I create a screenshot. Basically all I have is the URL
in the required pop up window http://game3.pogo.com/room/table/frameset.jsp?scrn=me2beetu&site=pogo&rkey=hearts-plhrsf010&anam=Black+and+Blue&install=true&seat&rspt=12130&fscreen&ahst=game3.pogo.com&ugifts=0&vmtype=other&rhst=www.pogo.com&vmver=1.8.0_40&game=hearts&table
and a blank page. This indicates to me that java isn't being allowed to load even thought the java plugin is enabled.

I don't have an account with them so it wont let me play the game. Have you tried loading the game in a private window?

This link takes you to a page containing a screenshot of The Pogo game and the necessary pop up in both Pale Moon browser and in Opera browser.

Have you tried with extensions disabled? Are plugins set to run automatically? Are you allowing the java applet to run when/if asked?

Can you post a screen shot of it? Just upload it to some image hosting site and link it to us here.

Your problem is with java or with javascript? They are completely different things.

You enable or disable java at opera:plugins and not on settings.

I'm using Opera 28.0 on Win 8.1. I cannot run java apps in this browser. This is preventing me from setting this browser as default because many of the sites I visit require Java.

I have installed the Java jre 1.8.0_40 but Java still doesn't appear in opera://plugins. I'd surly like to fix this.

Have you installed both 32 and 64 bits Java? For Opera you will need the 32 bits one.

Also, are plugins enabled in Opera?
