So I re download and install them again only to have them disappear the next time I open it. Getting old.
I ran Malwarebytes to make sure I was clean and I am, so ...?
Anybody have an idea? Thanks in advance -

Do you have any cleaning software installed (CCleaner, etc)? Which one and is it up-to-date?

It appears that my settings aren't being saved. My theme is still there, it just doesn't appear. Also when I open Opera up again the feedback bar\question always pops up like it was the first time I opened it.
Shutting down CCleaner's monitoring didn't help.
Any other ideas?
Thanks for your help, much appreciated. -

This only started when Opera updated itself, which I find annoying, as it usually means problems but I'm not complaining. I've used it for many years. Free. If I had paid for it I'd be more than mildly annoyed.
I noticed I have 2 files on my computer for Opera
27.xxx and
28.xxx
I was tempted to delete the 28.xxx folder but I seriously doubt it is going to be that easy, so I left it alone till someone much more tech savvy can help me. -

Weird... Make sure your user account has permission to write to the profile folder / settings file.

Not sure how to do that but I know that I am the only "user" that has access to the laptop. Have only one profile.
in ccleaner under pragramms opera uncheck internet history deleting these in any chrome engine browser with ccleaner destroy themes and addons
Nothing is checked in CCleaner till I check it myself. Mainly because I use it often but not always for the same reason.
I'll try a new profile I guess. goes away scratching his head

New profile? Don't know how to do that. Can't find anything about it in help either

Uninstalled it, then redownloaded Opera and got my extensions running. Closed it then restarted it. Same problem. Extensions are gone.
SO frustrating! -

SO frustrating!Have you checked the option to delete your data while uninstalling?
It seems that Opera can't write in the folder or a third part program is erasing your data.
Or maybe there's a corrupted file.

Well, I've tried everything that was suggested here and nothing has worked. So I just never close Opera. Hardly a good fix but a little less frustrating at any rate.
Thanks for all your help
