Hi all,
During the past months, we gave a lighter look and feel to our mobile browsers. In the same spirit, we have made a new version of Opera Mini for Android to look and feel just as great.
This beta version marks the start of a transition for Opera Mini on Android. Using the full-featured Opera for Android as a starting point, we created a lightweight browser that runs on Android 2.3 and higher.
The beta shares many of its bigger sibling's features, including data-saving compression, bookmarks, Speed Dial folders, private tabs, and bookmark syncing. Sharing user interface with the full-weight Opera allows us to expand Opera Mini's feature set faster than the current version.

could include an option to sync current opera mini bookmarks(ie ,mini 7.6.x),including speed dial.also a way to transfer or link to the cookies will be nice.
could you aso introduce the old font sizes. the new ones are too large and it looks bad with my phone's resolution of 420x320(landscape).
an imersive mode too.

Bring back the auto sync.... then the texts are large as said earlier... the flat look is great.

why does sync not sychronise speed dial and search engines.tried the sync feature between opera beta for android and mini beta. it only syncs the bookmarks in the bookmark folder and not the ones in the speed dial and the search engines arent synced.

Atm Sync only syncs bookmarks. More things will be added with time.

Hey guys, I installed the beta and does not
charge any web site, is a blank page. Nor load the
page to report errors.
I have Android 2.3.7.Sorry for my bad english

opera mini beta 8 and opera mini 7.6.2 don't display Tamil font properly... letters got overlapped but opera mini 7.5 and below versions display Tamil font great..... so kindly fix the font style and size like in previous versions i am using android 4.4.2
btw i have wp8.1 too... opera mini beta no update for the last one month and it has very bad display of Tamil font... kindly update om for wp tooo...please

add full screen option
scrolling is not smooth
add option to disable homepage
increase font color depth
add private browsing option to menu bar
bring refresh button to navigation bar in classic layout -

Dark mode would be great... everything is bright white . What I meant is picture quality is not that good in web pages... but when you view it only, its good. while with opera mini 7.6.2 everything was clear. and downloaded pics show 0.00b... Overall the speed is commendable....

Please add an option to disable homepage. There's a lot of pics and stuff like that that consumes my internet traffic.

And you could add night mode as well because most of Samsung devises have amoled screens
