The forum engine is Vanilla forums. In another version they use bbcode, like the old forums did. Not sure why Opera chose markdown - up to them. But it would be nice if they supported underlining and so on ...

I came across another style called "Tile", or "Title", I forget.
At least that worked - unlike Mr Mark Down. Very easy to perform it was.

The question is - if we implement a new syntax, will the old posts be lost - they'll follow the tool and become a mess, right?

They must have converted the few MyOpera posts transferred to markdown - but they did have 3 days to do it.

And don't forget the quote button doesn't work in Firefox (mine, at least). Hitting it scrolls me to the top instead (no text in the editing area).
At least it was so up to the last time I visited with my Firefox.

@joshl, it may be your FF installation/version. The quote button works just fine here in FF29 (as it did also in 27 & 28) - I just used it for this posting via FF29.

The "next to the OP" glitch is still glitching!

Again it's a board mess in this section.

What to do to get email notifications

                  Forum login not being saved

The latter being shown "as if the freshest" on the boards list.

                    No Avatars?

I'm unhappy about forcing people to Wordpress/Gravatar or to use the Kindergarden like icons.
And i dont want to be tracked by Worpress/Automattic.

I want to link to my own Avatar picture from my website.

Dear Opera Devs, please add the ability to link to external pictures or upload a own avatar.

I was a bit suspicious of using Gravatar myself, but I took the plunge and was pleasantly surprised to find how many other places I how have an avatar on that I didn't before!
I more miss the easy use of smilies here than I miss the traditional avatars TBH.
                      🙂

I have to reload the page to see what I posted, fix this.

It's a known bug: did you try looking for your submission next to the OP?

                            It was "Textile", Steve.
                            It is.

What is that: next to OP?

OP = original poster/post. The one who opened the thread.

No "next to the OP" at all.
It's "not see" now. Nada (reloading doesn't count because it's BS).

On page 1, a reply will usually appear as if it were the first reply. Now that this thread is on page 3 ... well, I suppose "the first reply" isn't on page 3, huh?

                                            It may be:hm:

It might be not so: just submitted in the "weather" - it appeared next to the OP on the second page (the last one for now).
