The new looks?

Is there supposed to be a scroll-bar in the editing area?
Typing for a new topic now, I couldn't notice any (Chrome). -

Must have been some update recently, the options and quote buttons are now hidden until you hover them - bad idea, noobs will never find them. Second, when I post a reply it appears as the first comment (just below the original post) until I refresh the page. Not sure if this reply will be visible to me, since it is on page 2 ...

Column view on 240x320 display looks bad. Edit mode after posting has a bad scroller on j2me devices with a small screen size.

Is the OP supposed to appear on the top of each topic page or could it probably be a glitch?
I couldn't see any settings about this yet...:puzzled: -

We are aware of this bug, and are looking into a solution.

I couldn't see any settings about this yet...:puzzled:Yes, we keep the original post on each page to remind people what the thread is about. We're hoping this can keep topics on-topic

I think it's great! Thanks for that.

Looks o'k - being visibly separated. -

My Opera was like that as well...
Was it?
At least there were settings, weren't they? -

Quite a few of the other forums I use also do this.
I think it's useful too, except where you get very long running huge threads where the original post can become somewhat irrelevant over time!

@digmed Sink is not working, the discussions keep jumping up on new comments.
Wow, is there anything left?
I think we should start writing a list of what's working, it'll take less time, LOL. -

Whenever I start to create a new post, as soon as I start typing directly into the text box, it collapses to a single-line of text view-box, but with the lower 50-60% of the text characters missing behind a white inner border immediately above the lower gray box border. Once I've typed more than one line of text, it scrolls upward as it should and the box expands, but as a long text builds and continues scrolling upward, it finally bumps against the upper text box border where the upper 50-60% of the top-most text characters disappear behind a white inner border immediately below the upper gray box border (sort of a mirror-image of what happens to the bottom of the single-line text). The single-line-text part of this is a real annoyance, since it prevents me from "proofing" what I'm typing until/unless I put in enough text to scroll the material upward.
I was about to report this problem, but I'm glad you already posted about this. This makes it really annoying to try posting/replying to threads. I don't know if the Opera forum staff can do anything, but if it's not a problem with the forum software, Opera or myself could look into filing a bug on Mozilla's Bugzilla about this.

And don't forget the quote button doesn't work in Firefox (mine, at least). Hitting it scrolls me to the top instead (no text in the editing area).
At least it was so up to the last time I visited with my Firefox. -

And the "next to the OP" glitch is still here.
And the 'options' button seems still not working (no reload) at the fresh submit. -

Select - no select -- the button apparently works as a "Go to top" button.

We have a "Markdown" link beneath the... whatever.
Let me test some other way of emphasis by copypasting from there:

Some of these words are emphasized.
Some of these words are emphasized also.
Use two asterisks for strong emphasis.
Or, if you prefer, use two underscores instead.or without ps --
Some of these words are emphasized.
Some of these words are emphasized also.Use two asterisks for strong emphasis.
Or, if you prefer, use two underscores instead. No italicising either...
Guys, did you know that there seemed to be an edit timer issue?
Now I'm editing for the second time: the first time I was shown "29 mins", but now it was "30" again. Huh?
And the page (in Chrome) upon saving the edit jumps wherever it.. jumps. It was somewhere upwards last time...:left:
The second time after [re]loading it jumped to approximately the same place somewhere near the top again... Though the timer seemed right this third time (I saw that I couldn't show the lack of italicising showing the stuff as quotation). -

Upon the third editing I was shown an "error" pop-up, though the edit seemed saved.
After eliminating all the major bugs I think we should.. er.. think of introducing some new formatting - better text rendering, better quoting, such like. Or is it that that "Markdown" is maybe just sorta not "synchronised" with something in the forum engine???
