Address bar auto-complete is super annoying

Opera 22 here.
I used to be able to delete suggestions from the suggestion list that appears when you start typing URLs in the address bar. I can't anymore. I assumed that really nifty functionality had disappeared, like so many others, because Opera had "found a better way" to do it or something like it.
I assumed maybe it only took those suggestions from the History.
So I went to the History and deleted the URLs I didn't want popping up. Except they still do...Why is it annoying? Because I mistyped and typed [Enter] before I noticed and now that freaking WRONG URL keeps popping up first in the Autocomplete!
In Opera (the real one), I used to simply hover my mouse over the line containing the URL in question, and a little cross would appear at the end of the line to make it disappear from there.
How do I do this?
Must I wait for a special extension just to regain all the nice little touches that made Opera the great browser that it used to be?
I'm really trying to like you, Opera 22, but you just keep disappointing -

A few thoughts. Although I don't see how you can delete individual items, if you want to clear this feature, I believe you can. Go to Alt P (Settings)/Privacy and Security. Make sure you do not have a check in: "Use a prediction service to help complete searches and URLs typed in the address bar."
And clear the browser history (to be on the safe side (strange that deleting the bad urls from history weren't enough here). Now the only suggestions, I believe, as you type in the address bar come from Opera Speed Dial, maybe bookmarks.
Wait, one nit issue. Your google account has a setting also, http://www.google.com/preferences?hl=en Perhaps sign into your google account and say you don't want instant results as you type in the search bar. Is it possible they have a record of the bad urls and because you have been using their predictive service too, that they are the reason you can't get rid of them?
It would be interesting now if you go back to putting a check in Opera/predictive services, whether it will bring back the mistyped url. Hopefully, it will start from a clean slate.

I am having the same problem. In past versions of Opera (currently using Opera 30) there used to be a little X that you could click to remove old entries. This was extremely helpful when a website had scores of pages that were quickly outdated (e.g. Craigslist, job banks, news sites, etc.) It was also a very useful feature when a similar but incorrect url was entered accidentally (e.g. forums.oprea.com).
I do not want to delete all of the autocomplete (autofill) URL history in the address bar but I do want to delete select items.
Is there any solution to this? I have tried delete, backspace, shift-delete, shift-backspace but so far no success.
Thank you. -

A website I often use how just switched from http to https, leaving me with the same question. How do I remove the obsolete one which is being suggested all the time?
PS: Is anyone in the Opera company reading this forum at all?

Have you tried removing it from history?

Eventually, but this is mainly a user's forum.
