my data used to be on my phone which got logged out, all i have is a laptop in another country with all my passwords, and i dont remember my passphrase. is there any way i can get my passphrase other than the laptop, and is there any way to check if i am still logged in on the laptop?

@Negative-Important I don't think there is a way to know that.

I've had a similar experience from time to time. In most cases, the issue wasn't the account itself but the sync process getting stuck on one of the devices. Signing out of Sync, signing back in, and checking that the same data categories were enabled on every device usually solved it. It would also be helpful if Opera provided a clearer sync status or log so users could easily identify which device isn't updating correctly.

The local-only passphrase limitation is probably the most important thing to keep in mind here. If the only device that still has the synced data is a laptop in another country, I would avoid signing out of it until the data has been recovered or another way of accessing it has been confirmed. It would also be useful if Opera provided a way to see the sync status of connected devices remotely.
