leave some cookies alone when deleting after exit ?!

My system is set to clean when closing the browser. Is it possible to define the cookies that should not be deleted ?

@Aiken123 You can keep all the cookies from particular sites, but not specific cookies. In case it helps someone else, use the address bar to visit this page:

opera://settings/content/siteData

The Add button in the Allowed to save data on your device section, allows you to create a list of urls that are protected from the Delete data sites have saved to your device when you close all windows option.

@susanm Thanks. I will check out that page. From one site is workable for me. Any chance Opera will do it on cookie level in the future.

I just tested it with two sites @susanm , but after closing and opening the browser both entries I made like you suggested are gone.

I think you can do it. In Opera there’s an option to keep cookies for specific sites even when everything else gets cleared on exit. Go to: Settings -> Privacy & Security > Cookies and other site data.
Then add the sites you want under something like:
“Sites that can always use cookies”

@Aiken123 The way it works for me, is with the Delete data sites have saved to your device when you close all windows option on the same settings page.

But if you are using the Clear data on exit option in the Delete browsing data option, it may not work?

That is a pity. So how do I clean browser data upon exit but leave cookies from a few websites in place ?

@herman214 I forgot, there should also be a checkbox there about “including third party cookies on this site”, sometimes that matters for logins to actually stay active. Otherwise the site can still partially forget your session after restart.
