I've been using FBP for years and love it. Facebook is the buggiest site in the Internet and FBP is doing a good job of taming it.
One "feature" I hate in Facebook is when a tag suggestion pops up when I type a partial name and hit enter. That is so fucking annoying.

@Opera-Comments-Bot its actually better to post at fb.com/fluffbustingpurity if you have any issues. as that Page has the latest infromation on updates to Facebook and FBP

@ChrisShannon if the fbp button in the top bar is not visible, another way to open the fbp options is to click the "F.B. Purity" link which appears in the fbp info bar just above the first post in the newsfeed.
If that is not showing either, you should follow all the steps in the Troubleshooting Guide on the FAQ page on FBPURITY.COM

@st333v After much looking and searching and searching, I finally found it to the right of my profile picture/profile button. It doesn't normally display, but if you hang there it might open itself to the right of the picture.
Thanks!

Superb. Highly recommend. Basically makes Facebook usable at the level it was a decade ago, without all this superfluous twaddle we are forced to wade through, and were never going to click on anyway.

don't usually scroll far enough to see sponsored posts (so date this is broken may not be accurate), but i just saw one (10/11/2025) even though they should be hidden as per settings. all other filters seem to be working.

@a4pacific yes exactly but the extension is fine ! It is Opera being stupid OR a bug that has triggered this. I have used the extension for YEARS .. no issues it is just this latest update as a result of yet more FB messing around with adverts and feeds!

@a4pacific Because Edge isn't Opera. Pretty simple. Nobody said it's "bad." Very clearly says Opera has disabled it, and gives their reason.

@mollycockles The author of FBP has a fix, I do not want to give it out here, in case OPERA people are listening in.
