@rmgillespiei i just checked and it seems opera have put this update in a manual moderation queue, so there is no way of knowing when it will be approved. if you want to always have the latest version, the best way is to use Chrome, as the updates are published the fastest on that platform.

Though there is also a browser extension for Opera, that lets you install Chrome extensions, so that might be another solution.

@rocksteadyfreddie facebook closed the loophole this extension was using to get the old design back., so it no longer works.

You should still be able to switch back if you are a Page or Group admin, just login to your page or group, and there should be a button at the top left letting you switch back to the old design for 48 hours. If you are not an admin, it should be possible to create a "shell" page or group just for the option, in theory.

@d4rkf4lcon: Opera have just approved the latest Revert Site update, give it a try, but there are a couple of issues you need to know about with the new version. A side effect of the revert option is the chat sidebar on the right won't be available. Though you can still use the messages dropdown in the top navigation bar to send and receive messages. You can also use the auxiliary facebook messaging website: messenger.com to check online friends, and chat etc.

Another issue is sometimes you may find yourself switched the mobile version of the site, but you can reset it back to the desktop version by typing in www.facebook.com in the address bar, or clicking www.facebook.com

@ChrisShannon if the fbp button in the top bar is not visible, another way to open the fbp options is to click the "F.B. Purity" link which appears in the fbp info bar just above the first post in the newsfeed.

@Opera-Comments-Bot its actually better to post at fb.com/fluffbustingpurity if you have any issues. as that Page has the latest infromation on updates to Facebook and FBP

@amishachar it sounds like you have turned on the fbp option "news sort: most recent". The Feeds page is the new "most recent" page. Simply turn that option off

@krzysziek45 please read the post at fb.com/puritytest it explains what to do if you see a sponsored post when using the new version of fbp. ive also i've updated fbp to v37.0.1 which should improve the ad hiding.

@st333v it finally worked today, after trying to submit a couple of more times, it went through. so maybe they have fixed the bug or something.

theres a bug in the addons management section of the opera.com site

when i try and submit a new version of my extension i get the following error "Submit error (500):" and it wont submit

i also get a "500" error when i try and write a message to the extension moderators via the "conversations" tab...

@st333v: update: opera can now install chrome extensions directly i believe, you may need to enable an option in opera the first time you try and install a chrome extension
