I have reinstalled Windows 10 and Opera One. Video playback is unwatchable, except for YouTube, which is fine. Disabling hardware acceleration does not help. If I watch the same videos on Chrome - no problem.

The problem started a few days ago, not sure if it was after an update to Opera.

@burnout426 - Thanks for your help, but I hope you won't be offended if I say I don't have the time or interest to jump through all these hoops. The problem started a week or so ago and I assume something changed in Opera to cause it. Something as simple as playing video should just happen and without the need to make experimental adjustments. My solution is to switch to Chrome, where there are no problems with video.

@st333v, many thanks for replying. The update to 37.0.1, which has now appeared on my PC, seems to have got rid of the wretched sponsored posts.

I've used Opera for ages on my laptop. Today I tried to update it from Version 42. I got this message: Fatal error upon loading installer executable 214:0, 254:0, 214:0, 259:0.

I uninstalled Opera, then downloaded the installer file for the new version. When I try to open this, I get exactly the same message as above.

Any help would be much appreciated.

I really appreciate people's help, but I'm almost weeping with frustration here. What "folder" are we talking about? All I have is a list of Bookmarks across the bar at the top and more on a drop-down menu at the side. I have gone through every menu I can find.

I would like to think I'm not completely useless or unintuitive with software, but I really am stuck.

Thank you. I have no idea how to do what you describe. It seems to show I can click on some bar (but it doesn't look like the Bookmarks bar). If I try to do it on the Bookmarks bar, I don't get the drop-down menus you show. Sorry to be inept. C.

I managed to import all (a large number) of my Bookmarks from Opera 12 into Opera 19, but cannot see a way to organise them alphabetically - though they were in alphabetical order in Opera 12. I can drag them to and fro in the bar, or up and down in the drop-down lists. I cannot move them from list to bar or vice-versa, and in any case, moving them one by one will take for ever.
