Sorry, i've been away from my computer, so couldnt respond to the issues people are having. Opera have mistakenly marked the extension as malicious and damaging to your computer. I have contacted them to get them to correct their mistake. Am waiting for a response. As others have noted, Opera can run Chrome extensions, and Google have approved the fbp update (that has the exact same code) so you can install the latest version of FBP by adding it from the Chrome Webstore at https://chromewebstore.google.com/detail/fluff-busting-purity/nmkinhboiljjkhaknpaeaicmdjhagpep

RE: what has happened to extension update approval times?Opera add-ons
@leocg said in what has happened to extension update approval times?:
s/
i was wondering if it was something to do with the extension still using Manifest v2... then today got an blanket email from opera saying they will lbe deprecating MV2 shortly, so it probably is somethign to do with that, the email says they are also going to create a totally new addons directory that will only allow MV3 extensions in. I guess i better convert my extension to MV3 and see if that speeds up the approval time...

RE: what has happened to extension update approval times?Opera add-ons
@leocg thanks for the reply. wow, thats a very long and very old thread. personally, ive not had any problems recently up until this month. ocassionaly (on the odd occasion) i found opera were actually the fastest to approve my extension compared to other browser companies. thats why im finding this extra long wait rather strange.

what has happened to extension update approval times?Opera add-ons
in the past it took about a day or 2 for an extension update to be approved by opera, at present the delay seems much longer, ive not heard any response from opera devs for days now regarding my extension update, is something wrong at opera hq? the update is only a few lines of code, so not like it needs days of study or anything.
are any othe opera addon developers experiencing strangely long delays in update approvals?

RE: F.B.(FluffBusting)PurityOpera add-ons
@ChrisShannon if the fbp button in the top bar is not visible, another way to open the fbp options is to click the "F.B. Purity" link which appears in the fbp info bar just above the first post in the newsfeed.
If that is not showing either, you should follow all the steps in the Troubleshooting Guide on the FAQ page on FBPURITY.COM

@Opera-Comments-Bot its actually better to post at fb.com/fluffbustingpurity if you have any issues. as that Page has the latest infromation on updates to Facebook and FBP

RE: F.B.(FluffBusting)PurityOpera add-ons
@amishachar it sounds like you have turned on the fbp option "news sort: most recent". The Feeds page is the new "most recent" page. Simply turn that option off

@krzysziek45 please read the post at fb.com/puritytest it explains what to do if you see a sponsored post when using the new version of fbp. ive also i've updated fbp to v37.0.1 which should improve the ad hiding.

RE: F.B.(FluffBusting)PurityOpera add-ons
@st333v: update: opera can now install chrome extensions directly i believe, you may need to enable an option in opera the first time you try and install a chrome extension

RE: Revert SiteOpera add-ons
@tiger2000: @goodpasture: due to facebook closing many of the loopholes RS was using to get the old site back, currently RS can only Revert Biz/Fan Pages, Events, and a few other pages, it cant revert Newsfeed or Groups. But can revert photo album edit pages (for personal profiles, Pages, and Groups)
