Opera have mistakenly marked the extension as malicious and damaging to your computer. I have contacted them to get them to correct their mistake. Am waiting for a response. As others have noted, Opera can run Chrome extensions, and Google have approved the fbp update (that has the exact same code) so you can install the latest version of FBP by adding it from the Chrome Webstore at https://chromewebstore.google.com/detail/fluff-busting-purity/nmkinhboiljjkhaknpaeaicmdjhagpep

For those of you who are still struggling with the extension, e.g. constant notification from Opera saying you have installed the extension, cannot install etc etc. This is the solution:

Find on facebook the authors page "Fluff Busting Purity Development & Testing" Look in the first post dated 15.1.2026 within the post you will find a link and he tells you how to get it going. The link ends with "fbpurity.user.js". Uninstall your current version first, when you run this link, it will take you to (In my case) TemperMonkey straight away, and you install the extension there. FBP will be installed but without going through Opera's extension app, so no notification will ever pop up. If you want to deinstall it you have to do it through the script manager.
