@Pebbles1980 There isn't that setting, you can try using an extension.

Auto-playing video thumbnails are small preview clips that start playing automatically when you hover over or scroll past a video. They’re designed to give viewers a quick glimpse of the content without clicking, helping them decide if it’s worth watching. While they can increase engagement, some users find them distracting or data-consuming, which is why many platforms offer an option to turn them off.

@TiffanyAbbott Hi and thanks for the reply. I understand this, but Im getting an entire page preloading thumbnails.

@Pebbles1980 That appears to have been an AI-generated summary. The only useful part might be the last bit, where it says many sites have an option to turn them off. So that is a place to look.

@sgunhouse Nope def not AI generated.
Ive looked through the site settings and its not there. Thanks anyway. Ill see if there is an extension that supports the site in question. -

@Pebbles1980 Not you, the previous reply seemed to be AI generated. Describing what video thumbnails were and why sites use them was not germane to the question. Something that could block the "on hover" script would seem to be in order, but no direct experience there.
