seems no one likes this feature and have made it known for years now yet opera still wont let you do it???? might just have to switch browsers if they wont do something about a simple problem. They must just keep it there for spite or something cause its been a problem for years and for them not to address it thats messed up

@ddgls08 There is no option to disable it as far as I know.

I don't honestly find the logic behind this. What if let's say, you download something big and maybe it finishes download in a few mins? Or maybe something small but it finishes in about an hour?

It's perfectly normal to get that notification.

I for one generally use IDM, not the Opera's downloader but even then I want a notification when the file finished downloading in order to maybe move myself with other stuff...

@pilis00 I'm not opposed to some sort of notification which there is already a meter that displays were the download is at or if they kept it contained within the tollbar but a 1 inch by 3 inch notification bubble is ridiculous and covers some of the page or just gets in the way of what your working on, Weather or not your for or against it they can at least should let you customize it the way you want like every other option that is. and there defiance to making it possible is basically a big middle finger there giving everyone by not doing so. The amount of forums and youtube videos on this very subject for years now just shows they dont care or its because the person who designed it is but hurt because alot of people dont like it IDK but I have seen lesser discussed problems that are much harder to fix have been done before you even know it was a problem so why shuch defieance in making this happen is just beyond stupid at this point

Interesting, why I don't see any notifications about completed downloads? (Not that I wanted to, but anyway.) At the start of download it displays notification, but this goes away after any activity (click or tab change).
Maybe if "Ask where to save each file before downloading" is set, Opera does not notify? I didn't find other related settings.
