@Dusty-Bin-0 Mabey i am wrong about you, but 80% of ppl who need help didn't check all settings - everything. 20 probs, where 10 windows settings and 10 Opera settings were forgotten to check and change. I used 3,5 hours for windows, same for Opera + UblockO, etc. I am sys admin and i want pc only follow my commands, No commands means do nothing at all.
I don't have (trying not to be arrogant any probs with new pc/ Win11, etc. Never. I make sure all settings say what i want them to say. And don't use the game option Opera?! MS, Meta, etc wanna keep users depended of auto - sync, update, etc. That 2nd most important reason I wanna fix prob. Else ask Opera Helpdesk? Hope i help a bit: GL

@SWK058 Thank you once again for taking the time to reply to me. Unfortunately I don't speak Dutch, so the screenshot you kindly provided I cannot understand. I do not doubt that you are correct in your analysis, but could you guide me as to which settings I need to check as I am not aware that I changed any. The issue I am experiencing manifested itself after the most recent automatic upgrade to Opera bowser on my Mac, not as a result of any change that I made. I appreciate your help - thank you!

@Dusty-Bin-0 Check the User Interface section in the settings page

@leocg I am 99% sure this is the exact problem I am having. This screencap captures part of the issue. I say only part because before I took the screencap, what I saw was several of these pop-up tooltips, on top of each other so I could see the others taking up space but they were mostly covered up by the front one. I can make these smaller by turning off emojis in tooltips and same-domains in tooltips, but I cannot stop them and they impede navigation and also obscure things behind them. All but this one disappeared in the act of making the screenshot, but if I move my mouse back to that spot I get the same multiple tooltip popups.

@leocg I figured out a way to do a screencap that didn't have several of them go away as I did the screencap.
This is constant and it makes navigating multiple windows/tabs very difficult and also makes it harder to use the address and bookmark bars.
Frankly I would love to be able to turn off these tab tooltips completely.

@gerry-daly You are 100% correct. This is exactly the same problem I am experiencing! leocg has suggested checking the User Interface section in the settings page. Will have to give it a try, but fear I may be out of my depth!

@Dusty-Bin-0 There should be an option to disable showing the list of opened tabs from the same domain.
There is no option to disable tabs tooltips at all

@leocg I am indeed out of my depth! Thank you for helping me. I have found the user interface section in settings and I have toggled off the following: -
Show tabs from the same domain in tab tooltip
Show emojis in tab tooltip
They are still appearing sadly, as you correctly stated there is no option to disable tab tooltips completely. The only positive is that by turning off the emojis option they are now a little less obtrusive, but they are still there!
Is it related to the latest Opera browser upgrade?
Thanks again for your help. I didn't even know they're called "tab tooltips" as you can see from the title of my thread!

@Dusty-Bin-0 Emojis and the list of opened tabs from same domain are relatively recent, but tabs tooltips have been there since ever.

I'm not having this issue in Opera Stable, Beta, or Developer on Ubuntu. I wonder if this is a problem specific to Windows.

@Dusty-Bin-0 Oh yeah
My bad. I wonder if the problem is specific to Mac, then?
