I had a problem with Opera and had to join this forum, but Opera website would not let me.
Why?
Because Opera uses Google Captcha which is disability unfriendly and would not work.
The issue was that Google Captcha does not like Opera VPN, yes let that sink in, Opera is using a tool to prevent spammers that labels Opera itself as a Spammer network. The irony would be funny if I was not locked out, it took me an hour to install Firefox and create this account, in fact I gave up.
I have visual impairment so it is very difficult for me to use Google Captcha, but when I tried to use the Audio version it just said it does not like my network and to try later. I have seen that before and it never works. Also if you go back to visual version it does not work.
A suitable alternative that sites like eBay use is Hcaptcha.
I hope you will consider switching to Hcaptcha and will implement it soon.
I have a plethora of "impossible" captchas from google, both visual and audio, I usually end up giving up.

@leocg Could be a situation like mine where I cannot log into my opera account through the GX browser on a fresh install. But I can log into my opera account on Edge. For some reason, Edge recognizes that I have a 2 factor login, but when going to the same page on the Opera GX browser, it defaults to the google Captcha and ignores my 2 factor

As I have explained, Google does not like Opera VPN, nor Opera itself it seems.
I had to install Firefox and create this account.
There is some cruel irony in that Opera employs a Google tool and that tool bans Opera facilities and users.
If you read the book "in the plex" you can get an idea of the mindset of Google to a point where this would not surprise you.

Thanks for your reply, I do not have that exact problem but I have experience daily of Google tools preventing sites working, sometimes it is Capcha, sometime Google Analytics, Tag Manager and sites where it pops up with a use your google account to login.
I have images and video that show that in this instance it was Google not liking the Opera VPN and even after I turned that off it decided it did not like me, on Opera.
I deleted all cookies since dawn of time and closed down Opera then used CCleaner to nuke hidden objects. Google wasn't having it and Opera still does not work.
Google Capcha is essentially spyware as are all Google tools. It amazes me when people use Google Tag manager, Google shared login and Google corporate tools, they all share your data without consent and when confronted they bleat "legitimate interest". I happen to know that the EU is investigating Google on this front and there is widespread pressure to fine them.
Google started spying with the original Google Toolbar in browsers, when people realised what was going on they got rid of that and Google developed Chrome. Then when people were vocal about that they went into embedded tools for website developers. There are alternatives for all of these that do not spy on you and share your data with thousands of data partners. You can see these so called partners with cookie managers although some of them share your data with their own agencies. There are videos on YouTube that show how they steal your data, I say steal because it is without consent.
Google was caught when a whistleblower employee leaked how the Google Streetview cars were not just taking photos of streets and people, they were recording all the SSID's of Wifi networks but they did not stop there, they used a Google Engineer developed worm to hack into this wifi network, the employee explained how it broke into any PC's and other devices on the LAN's it got into and stole all the data, which it indexed into Google Servers.
Google denied knowledge of this and the employee produced the emails where they warned Google Management and were told to to carry on. The whistleblower also said that Google used many of the wifi networks it broke into to send data it collected back to Google.
As a disabled user I am effectively banned from any site that uses Google Tools. I have been trying for years to get them to stop. eBay moved to HCaptcha which I can use.
For the other Google tools that prevent sites working with my disability aids I have to use 3rd party tools to suppress them. This can break a site, I have even had cases where Paypal client tools were prevented from working because of Google applets.
So far it seems that I am going to have to abandon Opera. It is such a shame that they sold their soul and use Google Chrome.
This is just one of the monopolies of Google (alphabet) that must be broken up. I know the US are looking into this. I was around when it was Microsoft who had the monopoly and paid PC manufactures to install their software. I gather Google does the same on phones.
I think I will have to remain with Firefox or maybe a Firefox branch, it is a shame as Opera worked well for me. Brave is Google Chrome but people on YouTube use something called Wireshark to show it is still sending data home.
I am not saying Edge is any better, but I have to use disability tools that work for me, they are not portable.
In my opinion Opera needs to consider Google and anything Google produce or partner with as "the enemy". Read "in the plex" Steve Jobs found out the hard way and that was just one company.
Google sent emails not long ago to tell customers that they are changing their terms of service and will be using customer accounts data to educate their AI. If you don't like it, you are free to close your account. (If you agree to the new terms, no further action is needed,) They also attempt to limit their liability by informing you of this and think they and indemnify themselves of local laws.
I am not saying that others are not "at it" too but two or more wrongs do not make a right.

@OperaGONE-0 I'm not having any issues logging in to my Opera account, but I don't use the VPN. I will try with it enabled later to see what happens.

@leocg With respect, you already have an account.
To have the same experience I imagine you would need to clean your browser cookies to the beginning of all time, use something like CCleaner to remove other objects.
Also you would need to be granted the same IP address from the same server cluster.
By all means do the test, but the issue here is not just that Opera have employed the services of a monopolistic competitor but also that Google Captcha is disability unfriendly.
Many people would have given up and just deleted Opera. I would like to keep using it but I am no closer to getting the solution to the Lastpass issue.
