Hi, how can i disable using Aria in spellcheck? I don't want to feed it with everything I write and would still make use of spellcheck

Opera: let us disable this useless AI "feature" please. I have absolutely no need for this thing and I don't want my browser to send you what I write to "improve" it.
          Thanks

For the record: I have Aria and spell checking already disabled, and I still see Aria's icon in every text box (like this one).

In very small inputs (e.g. in google sheets) I'd like to disable that writing mode. How to do that?

@lukesw I don't think there's an option to remove the Aria button from text fields at the moment.

@rick2 As far as I understood, text is only sent when you use the Writing Mode.

I'm trying to learn coding in Replit.com and the default Ctrl+/ is interfering with me commenting/uncommenting code. Why can't I change this shortcut in Opera? At least give us a flag if need be.

@acryion You can change it in opera://settings/keyboardShortcuts

In some cases the AI Icon obscures the textareas resize area. Please add an option to disable it. For me it's just annoying.

I've been using Opera for nearly two years, but I'm thinking of switching to another browser. I can't believe there's no option to disable the writing assistant. I've tried everything, but it keeps popping up, and I can't even see what I'm writing. This isn't a feature—it's a bug. If I need a writing assistant, I'll activate it, but no, Opera forces me to use it, and I can't see anything except the large ARIA logo in the text box.

Terrible feature, the icon prevents seeing what is being typed. Either allow for a quick removal of the icon or you'll lose one user for good. Who was the incompetent person that came up with this idea? I hope they have already been fired. Zero usability. An absolute disaster.

@rick2: you can disable this terrible thing disabling this flag:
                              chrome://flags/#new-aria-features
