Firstly, it seemed to think I was new to Opera, the very first question seemed to think I'd just installed it. Yet it's been on this machine since I built it 3 years ago. None of the possible answers were therefore correct.

Secondly, one of the questions asked me what my default browser was, and the list didn't include Opera!! Opera GX was the closest option.

Thirdly, there were weird questions like "can you tell xxxx" where xxxx was something like "what is your default browser" or "why you chose opera". My answer to all these was yes. Perhaps a better grasp of English would be useful when writing questions. Perhaps "can you tell what is your default browser" was actually asking what my default browser was, instead of asking if I was able to know. For example "can you go to the toilet" does not mean you are asking someone to go, it's asking if they have a medical problem doing so.

@leocg It popped up top right when I opened Opera. It was run through Survey Sparrow, this is the address I see in my history: https://surveysparrow.com/thankyou/?company=Opera Norway AS&utm_source=survey&utm_medium=signup&utm_campaign=survey_signup which is the final address saying thankyou, Opera fails to record the history before that - another bug.

@hucker Right, didn't get it here. I usually don't get such surveys.

I got the pop up survey but couldn't finish it cause there was no option for the US in 'what country are you in'. Given the issues with flow I'm not sure opera would want a lot of people to finish the survey.

Probably random, or you turned off something to stop spam. I've only ever had this one I think, and I've been using Opera for about 24 years. Judging by the first question in it, it was intended to go to people who had just installed Opera. But as every single upgrade to Opera makes everything think it's a new browser (as in re-confirming everything on internet banking, Google login, etc.) that's probably why I got it. Opera needs to stop announcing itself as a different browser with each version, or are the detection routines on the aforementioned websites actually stupidly looking at the version number?
