Your first reply was better leushino. Your not helping anyone with a user name like his.

utterly terrible to remove such a feature. opera sucks and i can not use it anymore cos of this removal. They didn't "remove" the feature. They simply haven't added it to the total redesign. Perhaps because they thought you and the other two users who want this feature (out of many millions who simply don't care) didn't justify the effort to put it in, considering all the other things they really do need to do.

You can still use Opera 12 or change browser to Firefox or Chrome. I've today changed ChrOpera to Chrome

okay, i was a wee bit annoyed when i started this thread, but still really miss the option to save as text.
believe it or not, firefox has never offered this option ( it sez text in the dialog but it never does save as text but rather html page or whatever.
ive tried a few utilitys to save webpages as text, but they all suck
if i use a lower version of opera i would compromise security

I think you'll be fine security-wise (at least for the time being). Opera informed us that security updates would continue for the older Presto versions at least for the foreseeable future and I haven't heard anything to the contrary since they made that statement several months back. I'm sure you won't compromise your security.

I tried opera 20 but uninstalled and reinstalled opera 12.16 as I could not find the menu bar and fast zoom button in lower right corner. Opera 20 was not for me as i use the zoom all time and menu bar often. Perhaps the menu bar and the zoom is hided somewhere? Olav

There is no menu bar, other than the menu shown by touching the Alt key.
Zoom is on that menu. A scrollwheel mouse is the easiest method for zooming, but the keyboard will also work. (Numpad ± or + - on the Alpha Keyboard, i.e. equals and underscore)
I will use Firefox until Opera wakes up to reality.
I am already awake to the reality that Opera has moved on. I will use Opera 12 or 11 until the features that I need are implemented.
