About 2 days ago, my Opera started turning red in the taskbar. However, I haven't encountered any issues with downloading files like I've seen others mention on the forum. I can't find any browser notifications to identify where the problem might be, and I have no idea what to do to resolve it. Can someone please help?

@jhgkuu Most often, it means a download did not finish correctly. Of course clearing the incomplete download from the Downloads list will remove the red background, if that was the cause,

@sgunhouse Mine is also doing this but I've looked through my downloads and there's nothing there, is there any other thing that could be making it happen?

@dydy367 There are some background updates that occur (at least for extensions) that can do this if the update fails; beyond that I'm not sure.

Sometimes, on Windows at least, the only thing that will fix this is to delete everything in "C:\Users\yourusername\AppData\Local\temp" and "C:\Windows\temp".

So, if clearing downloads at the URL opera://downloads and clearing "cached images and files" and "download history" for all time at the URL opera://settings/clearBrowserData doesn't help, try that clearing your temp folders.
