Lufkin Texas, Not working.
So Opera is the next big web. Cool. It appears we have all been captured via an internet marketing bubble! This is the beginning of a cool ride for me personally. I wonder what other states this is in(Just saw a Florida) Who else discovered this via Aria. After wanting an AI companion that can see your screen. Because from what I gathered, this thing can see what we're doing and make recommendations and such, sounds like an advanced Grammarly. Unless AI is somewhere we haven't been told yet. And Opera is getting people to show them testing its features. It's being influencer marketed. I am also just super out of the actual loop so this will part of my creative story telling for my AI. I'm going to make it super meta and sassy. Fantastic.

Hi!
So apparently Aria is not available in Texas (despite the FAQ not listing it as a restricted region).
It was reported as a bug but there hasn't been any fix nor comment in two months so I would assume that restriction is intentional? Is there any chance we could have the reason behind that restriction? Is there a state law that prohibits Aria from operating here and that somehow doesn't affect ChatGPT and the like?
Thanks in advance -

Being a US resident, Aria states that It is not available in my country. The FAQ says it is. How do I correct this?

@chuzordie Are you in Texas, too? It seems there's a bug (hopefully) where Texas is considered an unsupported country...

I am in Texas. Why do I get this message from Aria? "This service is currently not available in your region. Available countries are listed in Aria's FAQ."

Aria gives an error message saying it's not available in my region and referring to the FAQ for a list of regions the AI is unavailable in. However, there aren't any locations in the US listed there. I'm in Texas and do not have a VPN

I'm in the US, and say's it is not available in my area. So, sorry, can't leave any good feedback on the product. And yes, am logged in to the account.

I'm currently in Waco, TX. It had me go through all the crap of creating an account, verifying said account, phone number, etc. just to tell me this exact same message!
So I opened Aria, received message, minimized Opera, turned on my VPN and selected any state But Texas, returned to this error message and retyped same question.... It worked! Turned off VPN, repeated. Stopped workingMy Suggestion:
Find a trustworthy VPN and simply connect to a different area. There are several really good free ones if you don't want to pay. Just don't use the VPN option within Opera, it doesn't help -

I know how to fix it.
Just enable VPN and run Aria and Opera VPN both
For who need Aria

@chris-ithink We really shouldn't have to use a VPN to bypass the georestriction in an allegedly supported country though...
It's been like that for three months and there's been no comment on this "bug". I filed a bug report but it has been marked as done without any comment (nor fix), it's disappointing to see they released that as a gimmick and not an actual feature they plan on supporting, it was promising. -

I'm in San Antonio, Tx and just tried to use the Aria feature and got the same message. Not able to use in your area. Hope they get a fix.

I'm in Dallas Texas, it doesn't work (same error) without the VPN, but I turn on the VPN and it works like a charm. I don't even specify a region that I'm virtually in, it just pops up like nothing weird is going on.

I'm in North Texas and also am receiving the same issue with no VPN. Turning on the VPN throws an error.
