Rollback to Earlier Version

Just had auto installed the latest version of Opera - Opera One(version: 100.0.4815.76) - and it's not only rather clunky in design but it's also messed up a lot of the automation we have running on it.
So how can we revert to the cleaner previous version and use that instead?

@joefonebone It's a disasterous mess. What on earth were they thinking? I have lost my workspaces, and the old tab sort arrows were great, and now they gone.

@joefonebone Burnout gave a detailed account of how to revert. I don't know how to link to it so if you search you'll find it in his response to my question. The problem is, reverting will only be a temporary fix since we've been informed that Opera intends to push forward with Opera One and that the older version will only receive updates for a limited time.

Download the last Opera version with the old UI:
https://ftp.opera.com/pub/opera/desktop/99.0.4788.88/win/ -
Execute the installer with the below parameter to ensure Opera is not started after the installation is done (example is for the x64 version)
Opera_99.0.4788.88_Setup_x64.exe --launchopera=0 -
Do not start Opera. Edit the "hosts" file in your Windows directory, and add the following line to block the update server. The file is usually located at "C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc\hosts" if Windows was installed with default settings.
127.0.0.1 autoupdate.geo.opera.com
Optional: If you go to "Update & Recovery", Opera will try to look for the latest update, and it will fail after a few seconds. In case it disturbs anyone, set the following "System Variable" in Windows:
OPERA_AUTOUPDATE_DISABLED = 1
(Search for "Edit the system environment variables" and click on it. Click "Environment variables" and under "System Variables" click "New" and add the above mentioned variable and value.)
Note that this only disables the update option in "Update & Recovery". To completely block updates, the hosts file needs to be edited as described.
