Some of these directions need to be corrected from right-click, to left-click, in order to be accurate.

This is one of the features that is making me stick with Opera as my default browser. This is really great! I am most definitely the creatively disorganized user 😃

The new Opera and especially the edges around it are completely unfriendly to the user. I want to scroll, but instead of the scroll bar, I click on an empty space. I will have to change browser if you don't fix it.

@hanzbp I completely agree. in the first hundredth versions there were problems with the top edge of the screen, now they have been fixed: both the left and middle mouse buttons work correctly. But the right edge is still not available. The scrollbar should also occupy the rightmost row of pixels - many are used to this.

This "island" update is ugliest I've ever seen. Just look at this designer's nightmare: lots of borders, lines and tones - useless waste of screen space.
Big paddings, rounded edges.. It looks like we've came back to 2000s.
Just count the lines, shades and indents.. It is a complete mess:
              538c7c5a-961a-4843-8531-d0c661c86773-image.png

Ok, you want to add your "islands" in tabs row. But but what kind of idiot thought about introducing a frame around the main content area with round edges? Why do we need this ugly islands in main content area and bookmark bar too, all with different margins and paddings?
              24a8217f-4916-4950-bf77-605beeb504f2-image.png
It looks like the designer accidentally applied a wrong style to the all elements of browser window and accidentally clicked Commit.
This is absolutely inefficient use of screen space and looks just ugly - as a bad example of UI\UX.
And again - no way to disable this awful piece of.. UI.

As a long term (20+ years) Opera user, for the first time I'm angry with a feature. Not because I don't like the idea, but because of the very bad, buggy, unintuitive implementation.

Completely agree. It looks and functions like a training project of some junior frontend developer

A small suggestion. Ability to add/remove tabs to islands by dragging the icon + "open new tab" right or left. Screenshot_2.png

I already hate this update. I can't drag tabs without them teleporting somewhere and creating an island. And then I have to scroll past a hundred tabs to find that lost tab and then I still haven't found out how to remove the island without closing the tabs in it. I absolutely hate it, I want to drag tabs again.

Suggestion (I know its long, please hear me out..) : Please add shortcut keys (ideally keyboard assigned) or allow a shortcut key to be assigned to the move tabs out of a tab island function - I have multiple monitors (2-27" and a 34") and use Opera for everything I do. I use multiple windows as well as multiple tabs in each of the Windows. It would be a miracle to use keyboard keys to move the desired selected tab out of the group of tabs so it can be an independent window which can be moved into the Opera Window of another Opera Window or Opera Window with many tabs with the keyboard only. Yes, I am capable of using the mouse but I believe some efficiency can be gained here as most of what I do involves typing and with the screen space provided, it takes more time to locate the mouse between the screens and the tab to then move it. I suggest for each Opera Window used, name them such as Main, Secondary, ect and when you select the move tabs out of a tab island function, maybe it has a number selection or flyout window which allows the user to navigate between the Opera window/tabs to determine where you wan the tab to be placed, there can be a prompt to indicate are you sure? Please ensure to allow a check box to ensure it is confirmed if the future for users which do not want to hit confirm every time they use the function - I am not a programmer by any means so I do not know if it is possible or could be implemented, if it is then I am sure many would appreciate the accessibility and function. Just my two cents over here! Either way everyone is doing a great job with Opera and I hope the coding is easy and the days are quick!

i made an account, looged in just to say this function sucks in Opera. Its so f easy on other browsers, but Opera keeps moving my screen and the current tab to its 'original' island/window/group of tabs. why that shit? who the heel needs do find the original island?

@ausato , I disabled this newfangled feature as soon as I found out that it was disabled. Which is what I advise you.

@leocg: If you've got few such 'islands' how are you going to remember which one is which?

Aria says there is something called Tab Groups and to enable that in opera://flags, but there isn't any Tab Groups there. Any ideas?

@ichanath if you put the mouse over the island, you should be able to see a list of tabs included.
