@jimbop: my thoughts exactly. Session management should be a basic part of any browser that supports multiple tabs, but none except Vivaldi have a proper session management feature built in. Firefox can recover your last session, that's it, but if you want to close multiple tabs to reopen later & manage them freely you'll need an extension as well

You can select the tabs you desire, right-click and save the tabs to a Speed Dial Folder or a Pinboard.

Opera recently updated, and TabHamster does not work. Clicking on it does not open anything below.

The tab execution options are not there... when you click on a group, the entire group of tabs gets loaded on top of the existing tabs.. there should be an option to load the tabs selectively, while saving the existing open tabs in the background. For instance, I want to have 3 or 4 groups depending on needs (Personal, Work, Investing, Games etc) and be able to load them in a separate session.

It should have workspace recognition and also add some other functions from TubBuddy extension -

Peace of shit... Tab Hamster broke all my workspaces with >100 of tabs. if it not working with workspace, you should tell users about that.

This happened again, I can't believe that after the issue was reported 5-6 updates came out and the main problem still hasn't been fixed

I just lost months of saved info, opera updated and tab hamster erased all of my saved sessions. If there is a limit to storage then there should be a warning before tab hamster erases all of people's extremely important info. Absolutely beyond unacceptable.

with the update, I also don't see 'sessions' tab anymore and 'saved groups' saves all windows under 1 list. Each windows tabs are no separated anymore. Not sure if this app will be updated to fix these issues but this was only one I preferred.

@wildhairs This doesn't surprise me in the least that it's happened you, others and will continue to happen. The extension is completely unreliable and it will dump everything people save all of a sudden without warning for everyone that uses it at some point in time. Right after it happened I could still see "sessions" and "saved groups" but I have since removed the extension/add on so I don't know what it looks like now. Some of the stuff I can be ok with losing and other stuff I really needed after doing hours of research to acquire it. Life and tech is not perfect but we shouldn't have to back up a back up with a backup. I mean that's the entire extensions purpose.

@montanagrl5: I feel your pain. I tried looking up if I could recover some data where opera extension data is stored but what's gone is gone. this app has not been updated since 2015 so we should have seen this coming, maybe lol
I am looking at TabSession Manager, tabXpert, or Tablerone, something more up to date to use moving forward. But I may make a habit of saving useful tabs/links in folders as bookmarks in opera and let them sync with my opera account.

@wildhairs The app hasn't updated since 2015? Another contributing factor. Thanks for the alterative suggestions. I will look into those.
