They removed it. I noticed this while testing the beta, but I hoped somehow it would take into consideration that my version had the button enabled and would keep my choice enabled when it upgraded, but no such luck.

In Opera 100 for Windows, now called Opera one, the home page icon, located just at the left of navigation bar, has disappeared; anyone knows how to recover it, or is it a tremendous bug?
Thanks. -

@fixopera I agree with you all you have said; I am bothered with the same as you. Very disappointed. I have come back to Opera 99 until they fix these tremendous errors.
You can come back to Opera 99 simply going to Opera folder through Windows explorer, you will see there Opera 100, Opera 99 and maybe others. Simply delete the Opera 100 folder and the rest of versions if there is, except Opera 99. Then restart the computer. -

I agree with you guys.
If Opera wants to keep things tidy, then that's okay – but let us re-enable this feature, which might've been just hidden by default. -

Thanks for the reminder of how easy it was to revert to older versions.
I also additionally deleted the autoupdate feature in windows task scheduler.Opera One is not yet usable in the current state. Too much has been made worse.

@algon
It is correct what you say but I recommend you to add a letter, for example "s" to the file opera_autoupdate, which is Opera 99 folder. If you do it, you will have 1 less subprocess in the opera internet browser process in Windows task manager. Besides, if you delete another file in the same place called "crash reporter", you will have another less subprocess. I delete the latter in every Opera version I install.
Every time you want to update, you must delete the letter added in opera_autoupdates. You can do it quietly, no problem. -

So I really enjoyed when I had the speed dial next to the reload and other navigation buttons, how can I get this back? Honestly, I'm going to switch back to firefox or something else because of that. Having it way down on the side is super inconvenient. Anyone know how to fix that or is it permanent? Literally every web browser has a home button, except this one, and it's so frustrating to do 3 extra steps just to get back to my speed dial tabs.

Now, when you finish working on the tab, you need to do extra actions. Previously, this was done by pressing 1 button. Now you need to close the tab and click on creating an express panel. What is the logic of removing this button?

Taking an actual useful button away and keeping the my flow button even though i turned the feature of.
Bring it back, at least the option for the button.
And reconsider how you approach changes like for opera one

the newest versin of Opera killed my "home" button. I dont like to close a tab and open a new one. I would like to clck "home" and override the actual tab to Home!

Too bad, could we request this Homepage / Speed dial button to come back?
This button is very handy to me, because I create frequent website on the speed dial.

man they really really screwed the pooch on this one. time to migrate everything over to another browser. thanks for breaking it even more devs. so frustrating, had everything setup and only minor issues that i could deal with. now i have to completely reinvent how i use it because of those idiotic changes they made. Here's an old say, if it's not broke, don't fix it.

That's no deal breaker for me, but I'm missing the speed-dial-home-button as well.
Most browsers nowadays don't have it by default, but give the opportunity to add a home button. So should Opera.
