How to select where screenshots are saved

Not sure why my screenshots have suddenly shifted their landing spot to a different folder on my computer. I can't find any preference that can allow me to change it back to the previous folder, where all my others are found. How can I do this? Any idea why it suddenly flipped to a different one?

@stevenjcee Here, on Windows, it always ask where the snapshots should be saved.

@leocg Thanks but that's not how it works on Macs.
I just checked, and it seems it's an Apple issue, as they're being saved in the wrong folder whether I take it while in Opera, or not. So I'll now ask the Apple forum...
