@davidiop: Same here with the previous version (flatpak not updated yet) and with beta 99.0.4788.6, which I don't update to 100 because that's even crashier but in other ways
Developer 101.0.4822.0 seems to work fine

Yes, that's true as long as I can remember. But there's really an easy solution to that: Open web.whatsapp.com in a normal tab. The normal notification will appear as described and you'll get the possibility to allow that.
I'm doing that with Instagram, Telegram, Spotify and Twitter in the same way. Just remember. the sidebar isn't an app, that's isolated from the browser but think of it rather as of a bookmark. Hope, that helps.

Updated to Stable 99.0.4788.47 yesterday: whatsapp keeps crashing, mattermost keeps crashing,...

Seroiusly, how did this version pass QA?
