[Request]Allow selecting tabs all the way to the edge of the screen

Following Fitts' Law and the rule of the infinite edges, it is much easier to click on a button if it is all the way at the corner or edge. Since there is effectively infinite area to click on.
All popular browsers do this. It is much more efficient.
The new design is a massive step back in that regard. In full screen mode, it would be nice if all the tabs and other buttons(like the opera button and workspace buttons on the top left) would be moved all the way to the edges for easy selection.
The way it is now, it is a lot slower to use with a lot more required precision. The gaps might look nice, to some people, but they make it much less usable.

@leocg Consider this a bug report then.
Opera One Version: 100.0.4815.2
Windows 10 Pro Version 10.0.19044 Build 19044To reproduce it, all one has to do is put the browser in full screen mode and move the mouse cursor to the very edge of the screen. You are not able to select the opera button, the tabs, or the new tab button. Instead it just selects the browser window.
In normal opera, chrome, firefox, and any other browser you'd expect to be able to select it. -

I updated to this version, and now I can't work as fast as before. I always click on the tab on the edge of the screen. Normal tabs are still clickable but pined and grouped tabs are not.

On the video, only one tab is active on mouseover - ungrouped and unpinned. -

I agree! Why is this option not available? Is it to make the user experience worse? Please add the option to select tabs from the edge of the screen immediately! The same problem exists with the scroll bar, which is not currently selectable from the right edge of the screen. Please fix these issues.

@natcuber nope, still continue... it is for tab islands btw. normal tabs are ok.

The fact that it's ok with normal tabs and a problem with tab islands is even worse. I keep hitting the top of the screen in vain.

@ozzythewizard It used to be for all tabs if I remember correctly, but now it just seems to be tab islands...

@ozzythewizard I didn't realize this was an issue with the scroll bar as well. I barely use it, but it is an issue too.

@optrin Now that's fixed : D
... but not for pinned tabs.
b.t.w.: Opera now obviously interprets a group of pinned tabs as an island, is this intended or just another bug?
Sorry, attaching a photo did not work...(server error).
Hovering the cursor over a group of pinned tabs at the very left of the group the same window appears as for an island. -

You are not able to select the opera button, the tabs, or the new tab button. You must mean on a maximized window. In full-screen mode, there are no Opera buttons or tabs visible.
The opera menu button is not clickable to the edge of screen, but all tabs now are – including above pinned tabs on maximized window.
Opera 100.0.4815.47 on Win10.

Correction: it works for pinned tabs as well - hovering over a pinned tab at the upper edge of the screen there is no pop up window showing the tab title, what made me think the pinned tabs do not react, but they can be selected, that is correct.

@optrin Can yall try to open 2 tabs, and then quickly drag the tab on the right to the top left corner and let go? This crashes Opera for me every time.
I tried it, I get a new browser window with the dragged tab opened in it, no crash.

Unfortunately middle-clicking tabs at the upper edge (to close them) is still not working inside of tab islands. Also no mouse-over information is coming up at that spots.
So tabs in tab islands have different behaviour than tabs outside of them. Thats even more annoying than before. Also the Opera Button on top left and the + button to add new tabs are still not working when clicking on their top edges.
Thats really not good and consistant design. All tabs should behave the same and be clickable as a whole up to the top. Otherwise I find the bahviour just annoying and, for me, tab islands a born dead.
