Gentle Night Mode

Ok, This extension does something.
It darkens effectively most of the websites, with some notable exception (google search for instance, but there's a specific addon for this I will try).
Bugs found to date:- Images are often removed from pages (example: www.wikipedia.com)
- sometimes, borders are left out white (see https://mybrowseraddon.com/dark-mode.html, look the feature list a bit down)

@albertop: To the developer, I've found THIS page usefult to test dark mode extension:
https://webbrowsertools.com/darkmode/
Note: on google search it does not work, even enabling Opera permission to access search results. Nowadays, I've tested another specific extension for Google page that is working. -

Hi, How can I contact the developer @gadflys of this extension?
I want to ask to add in some css classes to handle...
for instance, the "bg-gray-light" class, defined as <code>bg-gray-light {background-color: #fafbfc!important;}</code>
used on the https://gist.github.com sites, that's making an upper white background on the top of the pages. -

Please someone (better if an @admin) reply and explain to me what I have to do.
I have still this extension installed on my desktop browser, but I've seen only recently that it has disappeared from the Opera Addons portal (<<The page you're looking for could not be found.>>).
https://addons.opera.com/en/extensions/details/gentle-night-mode/My questions:
- has it been retired from the developer? Or has it been discarded by Opera team?
- It is a security danger to keep this extension in my browser as it seems largely unsupported (no updates, no reply from the developer to questions, and no way to contact or find him)?
- Opera dark mode currently seems not act on most websites. Which dark mode extension for Opera is deemed appropriate to replace this one?
Note: I've sought the web and the archives, found no traces of the developer.
Thanks in advance for any response

@albertop Note: in the meantime, i try the "Force dark theme on pages" setting of Opera (now it seems available by default in settings):
