No Opera Sync Option on iOS

Would really like to use opera. But syncing tabs, history and passwords automatically like every other browser out there really is a must.
Really hope they wake up and gets this sorted.

@nischi85 It seems the lack of sync will result in reduced usage for Opera. If it does, maybe they will get a clue and fix it. I still minimally use Opera but no longer depend on it because I can’t access bookmarks on iOS.

It's such a shame really, I love the 'on the move' feel to the browser, it's so easy to use quickly. But, Edge / chrome / Firefox has shown us that full syncing on iOS is completely possible and working as intended

Opera Browser, former Opera Touch, doesn't have Sync.
Then implement it it is a vital feature.

@leocg - Yes. That is exactly what people are pointing out. Out of aggravation with Google’s extensive reach on my digital life, I switched and fell in love with opera on android/pc and just made the switch to iPhone. Now the entire password library I built doesn’t sync, and I can’t save new ones on iPhone? It really seems silly after coming from an entirely better experience.

@sgunhouse My bad. I am also a noob here and strangely didn’t see much of the rest of the convo on this before I responded.
Your response that I commented on helped make it clear that the sync feature isn’t available. Is there any workaround for this on iPhone? Anything that would help save me hours of transferring passwords to a new browser would be helpful (if not to opera).

Your best option is to use a password manager on your desktop version (like Bitwarden) you can then easily transfer your passwords to it, then install it on iOS (or Android) = all passwords everywhere

Just got an iPad and not being able to sync is just bad, I bet it's because of dumb Apple policy... I hate the ecosystem they created so much, but sadly there isn't many "cheap" time-lasting tablets other than iPads.

Doesn't seem to be as chrome Firefox Brave and Edge all have great sync functions

@u1travio1et they probably had to give something up, like information or stuff like that to apple. I don't think opera's team just didn't implement sync randomly, I'm sure they thought of it (and they're probably still thinking about it), but reconsidered because of some trade-offs. Maybe opera just didn't get apple's approval, and they're still waiting for it, that's probable too but most unlikely in my opinion.
