@vra: @vra: Downgrade to older official version https://get.geo.opera.com/pub/opera/desktop/
last 67 modification still supports removing the tabs preview and having the dropdown list.
Go to opera://flags and search for tab cycler - Disable this shit.
Hope that helps -

Bug report: After latest update double click opens new tab, but focus in not set to URL field, the same way it set then you open new tab official way (+, or Ctrl-T). Very annoying.

I desperately wish there was an option to cycle through the tabs with the scroll wheel. (probably with the mouse over Vertical Tabs)

Every so often (irregularly, but at least once an hour or so) tabs change groups or lose group associations. This may be related to tabs getting unloaded. Any ideas to fix this?

@givver said in Vertical Tabs:
Is this Workspace aware? Will it only shows tabs from the current workspace?
Unfortunately Opera does not provide API for it (hopefully yet). They don't use new Chromium grouping system, I asked devs if they will "merge" their way with Chromium's API on their blog, but there is no response.

It would be really nice to have an option to only show icons so it uses very little screenspace when I have a portrait monitor.

I see no way to get rid of the tabs up top, nor to make each open tab show up in the sidebar so you don't have to click or hit keys to know what you have open. All I wanted was tabs on the side...

As of a couple of months ago, this extension causes Opera to crash and lose all tabs roughly 20% of the time you close a tab from it.
I'm trying the Chrome versoin.

This is the closest to "SideBerry" on firefox, I have tested around 30 Tabs management addons on chrome and opera and this one is by far The Best in Opera & no one bests it in Chrome, Hails to you sir.
Thank you very much -

@davidgould: Chrome version doesn't work because the keybind is used by Opera. It's probably possible to edit the source to change the keybind.

@oo75894: Dude ... that's not what this extension is for. Use your eyes. Using your brain wouldn't hurt either. It really bugs me when people leave BS 1 star reviews on things when they don't even understand what it is. You want this extension for what you described: https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/undo-closed-tabs-button/ieehkmoiljghfkejgahoheemdjpdinml

This addon still works in 2023 and for someone who uses opera for ages and opens a lot of tabs, this is a blessing. Opera wants users but isn't seeing edge and Vivaldi browser which has vertical tabs out of the box for power users. But the downside is that, it is not updated since 2019 which is sad as it could be maintained and donations would come in. Plus would request dev to upload this to chrome web addons store so we can install this from there. A search bar for open and pinned tabs would be great like Firefox vertical tabs addons have. If dev is alive, then he can respond and let us know more on this. Thanks.

It works! But the design does look very dated. I'm using it on Opera GX and it kind of sticks out because it's not "pretty" like everything else is. Big props to the author though for being the only vertical tab extension for Opera as far as I know.

@tofumon: True, only vertical tab that is correctly working in opera, feels so bad, there is the native vertical tab of edge that's so amazing as well the (sideberry) extension on firefox which is even better !
