I can't seem to find any documentation on how Speed Dial works. A search of the forums for 'Speed Dial documentation' comes back with nothing!

That said, here is my issue... First, synchronization has totally blown apart my preferred Speed Dial arrangement. I had it just the way I wanted on one machine, and the layout got hosed as soon as I started sync and restarted the browser. My intent was to mirror this over to another machine but now I find out that this trashing behavior is by default??? The forum posts suggest that the developers have no desire for users to have options of their own.

So where is the documentation so that I might figure out what is going on and (dis)able whatever is necessary, copy objects, etc. to make it work the way I want?

@tgmct Speed Dials are part of bookmarks and are synced together with those ones. However, I don't think synchronization affects the position of the Speed Dials, although that info isn't really saved/synced as far as I know.

        See https://help.opera.com/en/latest/start-page/#speedDial and https://help.opera.com/en/latest/features/#sync

@tgmct It's possible he's talking about speed dial suggestions or (more likely) sponsored speed dials. Either can be disabled in Settings.
