@jiafoongwee Did not work for me. Like others have mentioned, I too use a Dock and multi screens when docked but then when I am away from the Dock all the other apps organize onto one screen and continue to work. In My case I was not docked when I opened opera and all was fine. I then started working on XL for a bit. the Screen saver did not kick in nor did I close the lid. When I went back to opera I can see it open (the Screen sort of does an animation of some sort) and I see it opening off to the left of the screen. Pressed Win + D to display the desktop. Right clicked on a blank space and hit display settings. I run my screen at 1920 X 1080 and 100 %.. Changed it to 125% and opera pops back into view. Went back and set it to 100 % and so far it works. Hoping if some one from the opera team is reading this maybe it might help them get this fixed. Just glad google opened this page when I did a search and save me some time. Created this account so I can contribute to this issue and help the community as I do Like the opera browser.

@zeej Thank you for the solution. It is now 6 months later (Nov '21) and it just happened with me with the latest latest release - clearly the problem is not resolved, but thank you for your workaround!
In my case, if you hover over the taskbar icon, it shows is a small preview window with all the screen detail of the actual Opera session window (it is not blank), but it will simply not display on either my screen or HDMI Monitor. The screen is therefore generated, but not displayed.

Hey, I have the same issue. The window wouldn’t show, but I could see that opera was opened. I could also see the tabs when my mouse hovered over it. I’ve tried the possible solutions above, but none seem to work.

@jiafoongwee This also worked for me. Opera is back again on the main screen. Thanks.

This solved my problem.
Has numbers of tabs in incognito mode for two weeks suddenly they stopped working. Used windows+d multiple times and then clicked on opera minimum window and it got maximized

@fixitopera
Nice workaround! I speculate that it might be a windows scaling issue with the Opera Window. Sometimes pressing the "Windows Key" + "arrow left/arrow right/arrow up/arrow down" to snap the Opera window might work. I figure trying any sort of keyboard command to manipulate the Opera window might fix it. -

Re: Opera shows only on taskbar
I've had this occur to me multiple times but several months apart and I can't recall the previous solution that worked. I'm running Windows 10 on a laptop with a dock, the laptop screen, and 2 LCD monitors. The topic referenced above suggests windows + D but this does not work for me.
When I hover over the Opera icon in the task bar it shows the windows are active but hidden. When I try windows + D it applies to the current window open but I can't get the Opera window to open in order for the key presses to apply to that program.
Help?
