Ive found the exact same issue and i don't see anyone talking about it anywhere.
i guess it's either a bug or they just forgot?

@kayuro The shortcuts are for the sidebar messengers which also appear in regular Opera.

@sgunhouse so please allow shortcuts in GX since discord is a really big platform and many people use it.
if you can't put shortcuts in GX unless they are also in regular opera , then why not put it in regular opera also .
discord is not for gamers only , regular people like me use it too on regular basis

Nah, they do have a shortcut but it's not customizable, and kinda hard to find too,

When you open discord on GX side bar

You can simply do Ctrl + Shift + M to open or it.

I checked this info directly from Opera GX browser (sorry got my browser in french) :

@randoomgeekoo hey thanks a lot for telling the shortcut key.
I also discovered that if you have more than 1 messenger connected to your side bar (like whatsapp/ telegram ) then you can cycle between them by pressing Ctrl+Shift+M repeatedly.
