Mysterious disappearance of VPN settings from settings.

To anyone that doesnt know, Opera as a company ceased their VPN services towards all Russian users (by IP) on the request of Russian authorities.
Is it a final decision? You just completely refused to provide the Russian people your services, because some bureaucrats told you so?
I am uninstalling Opera and never using it again if so. This is beyond insulting. Bye. -

@fastfreeze Only in Russia. The VPN was always "where allowed by law", so if the legal authority tells them to turn it off it is gone.

It's just awful what they did after the update with the browser. Hid the VPN after enabling it, the browser just doesn't open the pages. If so and will remain the guys go you far away, after so many years and such shit from you... I'll switch to a different browser! The way you disfigured your creation is a nightmare if you do not return it, then go to the forest. I'm changing the browser and found a replacement! -100% for the update!

Hello, after the last Opera update it looks like there's no built-in vpn anymore. It's not in settings or anywhere else.
(my browser is in russian, but I think that except from text it looks thesame as in english or any other language)
I've found it in addons and enabled it, but there's still no sign of it anywhere, and after I close browser and open it again vpn addon is disabled.
When I try to search for "vpn" in settings it says that it can't find anything.
Yesterday I did something that vpn appeared. I'm not sure what it was, maybe it was after I reseted browser settings. After it vpn appeared in settings and I could use it. But today there's again no sign of it, and browser logged out me from all accounts where I were.
I tried to re-update browser and it doesn't help either.Browser: Opera 77.0.4054
OS: Windows 10 -

@leocg dude, your only choice is to demolish the Kremlin fagot so they don't make f... laws. Opera has nothing to do with it. the president-huylo happens only to the people-fag!

Very disappointed!
I have uninstalled Opera, because honestly "official" VPN was the only thing it did better than Chrome.
I'm sure that Russian users make the huge share of Opera users, because of their nostalgia. I don't know how does Opera plan to survive now. -

Is it possible to restore? The instructions from the Web to edit the file "Secure Preferences"
AppData\Roaming\Opera Software\Opera Stable
didn't help. They advice to come back to early version. -

@leocg as if I won't find another VPN service. Russian authorities are dumb, but Opera behaves even more stupid that follows their orders. Apple Store didn't allow Navalny app removal, Opera could do the same, I would love it even more. Now this is my last comment in Opera community. Opera goes to the trash. It's been with me since 2003, now it's compromised by Putin.
