      @sgunhouse It is okay without a key words as you can search by what led to the page, confirm by date. URL, title, date/time, is not so much weight. We don’t live that long for these 3 things to take up significant space.

      It would be great if it were possible to export chunks of archived history to an external hard drive, in the case it does become too much.

      It doesn’t have to be default, for people who surf a lot of pages without a reason nor care to find them again, it would indeed turn into inconvenience and auto-cleaning would need to be kept.

        @kmarkina Chromium has a 90 days limit for the itens that will be displayed in History. Enabling sync may help keeping the data for a longer period.

              @leocg thank you!
              However, just extending the period doesn’t solve the issue of having to find long ago visited pages.

                @kmarkina Your request is about keeping the history forever. That is kind of impossible, but sync seems to extend the default period.

                  @leocg I don’t see it as impossible. Firefox does it

                    @kmarkina Firefox isn't based on Chromium. Perhaps there's an easy switch to change from what Chrome does, but on a number of other issues Opera is forced to follow whatever Chrome does because they don't want to maintain a separate branch of the Chromium code. If it's just a simple number somewhere they could, but if they test it multiple places it becomes harder.

                      @kmarkina Impossible it isn't but, for sure, it can be problematic and inconvenient. Image how long it would take to load the history page if you had, let's say, three years of history.

                        @kmarkina You can try opening the History file with DB Browser or any other SQL Lite editor and see if you still can find old entries there.

                          @leocg it doesn’t have to be loaded at once. It can load by years/months if scrolling through, or show specific matches if using search
