I wondered how you can change the location of downloads from C: to D:. if that's possible, how?

@nikdo During the installation, click on options.

@leocg I think the person wanted to know if you can move it after it's installed or if you have to un- and reinstall it.
At least that's what I wanted to ask as well.

@dragonfirek That's what I answered.
Now if you are talking about the profile directory, it can't be changed. There is a command line to change the profile directory path but it will work only when Opera is opened through its shortcut.

@leocg I'm not entirely sure if I got you right.
So if I want to move the entire Browser to my SSD, so it loads faster, what's the best way to do that? -

@dragonfirek Do a standalone installation or move all your %appdata% to the new drive, so Windows will use the new location to store the data of the programs/apps you have installed.

@leocg standalone installation = uninstall and reinstall?

@dragonfirek Run the installer and click on options. Change the installation and then choose the standalone/USB mode in the install for field.
You will not be able to set Opera as your default browser if you do a standalone installation.
