Change the installation and then choose the standalone/USB mode in the install for field.

You will not be able to set Opera as your default browser if you do a standalone installation.

So if I want to move the entire Browser to my SSD, so it loads faster, what's the best way to do that?

Now if you are talking about the profile directory, it can't be changed. There is a command line to change the profile directory path but it will work only when Opera is opened through its shortcut.
