In the web/PC version there is an ability to close an individual chat with an X on the top right as you would expect. However, in the Opera version, it seems I must always have a chat window open. I can't find any way to close just the chat while leaving the contact list open. In the top right of the chat, there is only an options button. Am I missing something here?

@jordanty Facebook needs to implement a solution. Currently the web version of WhatsApp doesn't allow you to close a chat.

You should restart the whatsapp web page and chats will be closed.

You do not get the option on the official WhatsApp. But if you use any mod version, you can easily do it...

@capricorn That is not a solution. Every time I chat with someone I should restart the app just to close a chat window? That's ridiculous.

@babiyajack732 Until Facebook/WhatsApp add a way to do it, the solution is to reload the page.

It is unlikely that the WhatsApp technical connection will answer your question, there are a lot of such questions. The only way out that I see is to install the mod version, for example GBWhatsApp . Try this and there is a solution to the problem.

@pipsli It may come in handy, I googled what are the most workable modified versions of WhatsApp. 1. GBWhatsApp. 2. FMWhatsApp. 3. WhatsApp Plus. At least they speak well of them .

@jorakae There is no way to close whatsapp chat in Whatsapp desktop. And I Think its no need to close chatting of whatsapp
