Why should posts on this forum need approval?

Why would posts require to be approved to show up in the forum instead of being automatically accepted and then flagged by users if they need to be reviewed?

@s3nd41 Because this is how serious forums work, the first post from an user needs to be approved to avoid spam and other issues.

Once the first post is approved, the subsequent ones will not require an approval. Exception is if the user has a negative reputation.

In other words, we have too many spammers who try to post here and not all that many moderators; we'd rather not have users encountering that much spam before we can remove it.
