This issue happens to me on any Windows machine I try using Opera on. "Ask where to save each file before downloading" is toggled OFF, but Opera still asks me where to download files each time I go to download a file.

Does anyone know of a way to fix this?

@operagem Depending on the file type, the Save As dialog will always show up for security reasons.
Also, that setting is more for when you right click on a link and choose save content as.

How to sync the Speed dials between devices?

@lvhoang You enable sync and select the option to sync bookmarks.
Speed Dials from other installations can be found under Other Speed Dials in the bookmarks manager page.

Hello, I am in the US and when I activate the VPN, it switches to Europe or Sweden and can't surf because things show up in another language.

What's the deal??

@usaf6915thess Only the sites can fix that. What you can do for now is to disable the VPN or change the language on those sites.

Change windows default search(taskbar search) to opera with search engine of choice.
I've set the PC default browser to opera, set the search in opera to duckduckgo, but when I go and use the searchbar it opens bing in microsoft edge. Chrome and Firefox have the feature to change it to their browser, but seems like not opera. Am I doing something wrong, or is it not a feature?

About 10 times an hour in my taskbar the gx icon turns red? and I can't figure out how to make it stop it is completely up to date.

@wasabii Usually it means that you have a broken download in the downloads list.

Why can you not set custom search engines as default? Every other major browser has this functionality! You can't even get an extension to change it, like you can on Firefox or Chrome. Opera and Chrome are both based of Chromium, so why can't you add that feature?

I would like to change the search engine to Ecosia. However, in the configuration, it only lets me change the search engine between the ones it has by default. He does not let me select any position on my own. What I can do?

@Adrian43 Nothing. As you have noticed, only pre-configured search engines can be set as default.

I was wondering how to remove the google search bar. I have selected duckduckgo as default but it still shows google over speed dials.
