I have lots of these strings:

in opera://gpu. Never seen them before on Opera 70. -

full screen youtube on MacOS 10.15.6 is having issues. it is not going into full-screen, it is still showing the toolbar when video is maximized

@nintendork07: this is actually occurring on all sites with full-screen videos. the toolbar is showing up when it should be hidden during a video

Regression with Opera 71:
Tab key no longer works in going from one Speed Dial icon to another within a Speed Dial Folder.
(Windows 7, 32-bit)

@nintendork07: touch targets for the X button in each tab also is not working correctly. sometimes they show, but othertimes you have to click it and even then it still might not show. this has been ongoing for two opera versions now

l33t4opera last edited by l33t4operaHi @eugene-b, for now I can't confirm it on Linux, but I can check it on W10 in 2 days. Perhaps it's one of extensions that is causing the issue, can you recheck with extensions disabled?

@l33t4opera I also have this problem in Opera 71 and Chrome 85 on Win7x64. I'm pretty sure this is a GPU-dependent Chromium 85 issue. In Chromium 86 this problem no longer exists, I tested in Opera dev 72 and several Chromium based browsers.

Do not update to 71. It destroys your browser. Your O Menu will no longer work. There will be no way to right click. The font sizes will be blown up to a point where everything looks ridiculously large. Password fields no longer work properly, etc...
Be wary. Alert !!!

@l33t4opera: hello, I did a check in private windows and the problem is still exist. Only disabling hardware acceleration fixes the problem.

"Search in tabs" doesn't always show closed tabs started from the search box on the Speed Dial page, while the extension "Undo Closed Tabs Button" does.

Hi @eugene-b, if an extension is allowed to run in private mode, it can still be a culprit in such cases.
Instead of disabling HWA, can you check if enablingopera:flags#disable-accelerated-2d-canvashelps in your case?
Alternatively, instead of completely disabling HWA, please check if one of the following makes a difference: disableopera:flags/#enable-skia-rendereror run the Opera with the switch--disable-gpu-compositing. -

Hi @johnd78, it might be GPU-related, but if I am not mistaken, in various cases some extensions could also cause such issues.
