Hi, I have just upgraded from Opera 70 to Opera 71 and there is now a new button on the top toolbar - Extensions.
I do not want this button there but I cannot find any way to remove it.
Please advise how to remove this unwanted button.

For the time being, you can disable
opera://flags/#extensions-toolbar-menu

@burnout426 In Opera 71, this flag was removed by the Opera developers, starting with dev 71.0.3763.0, although it remained in Chrome. Now in the Opera there is no way to remove this button.

So there is no way to remove it!
I know this button is a very minor thing but I hate it when something is imposed - I liked it the way it was and I have had a change I did not want forced on me. That is not nice - at least give me the option to remove it, like the weather widget. It's rather authoritarian. -

@greenpalmer-0 I agree completely. That is prime real estate that they are stealing! I have a button on my sidebar and that is the only place I want it. I put other things in that space.

Unfortunately this extensions button includes functionality (pin/unpin extension buttons), which is not present in other places (at least not in O72), thereby it is sometimes needed. I would vouch for restoring old functionality and removing this button - seems however, that Opera team is not interested in such kind of suggestions

@johnd78 I tried:
launcher --flag-switches-begin --disable-features=ExtensionsToolbarMenu --flag-switches-end
just for kicks, but it doesn't work.
I see the flag is gone in Chrome Canary (even with unexpiring expired flags), but:
chrome --flag-switches-begin --disable-features=ExtensionsToolbarMenu --flag-switches-end
still works at the moment.
So, it looks like everyone will just have to get used to it.
