Hello
First time I have had to write something.
I accidentally closed Opera, opened it up again to see it has been updated.
Firstly - does opera update automatically? How do I switch this feature off?
Secondly, all of my speed dials and folders that I have saved have gone. Disappeared from the landing page. How do get these back as I have not booked these pages and I have so many important pages saved. I am so angry right now.Please don't judge saying I should have booked mark etc, If I knew Opera would do this, I would not be using Opera.
Please can anyone advice
Thank you -

Oops I meant all of my speed dials have gone. No the tabs.
All the speed dials have gone.
How do I edit the original message?

OK answering my own question....
In the Bookmarks management screen there are these folders- Speed dial - the normal default
- Other Speed dials - where all my links had been moved
I cut & paste these from the new 'other' folder in to the default Speed dial folder & my original set-up is working again.
HTH others -

@jcm101 Do you you need to click on anything to restore the speed dials back onto the landing page? I have found 2 folders in the bookmark management side but not sure how to get it back as it was. Copy and paste will take a long time
Also all of my passwords have gone too.

@funkychick7
It is just moving the links from the root of one folder to another. The root Speed dial folders should both contain a sub-folder of the same name eg Desktop-win10sux
All I did was move my links <ctrl+a> then <ctrl+x> into the identically named Desktop-xxxxxxxxxxxx <ctrl+v>
You may also find drag & drop of the container 'desktop-whatever' between speed dial folders works.
My PWs are intact... -

the last update deleted my bookmarks from the speed dial. but not only. I had already reported this synchronization problem. opera has always synchronized bookmarks but not those of the speed dial. it's really annoying to put them all by hand

Hi guys.
Recent update 18/07/2020, and my speed dial tabs are gone. They are in the settings bookmarks area, but how can I get them back where they were?
I mean where they should be? -

They are there in 'other bookmarks' but the speed dial is empty? I cant seem to copy the pages and put them back into speed dial?

I have had the same problem, lost all my passwords too, still waiting to see what the solution is. Someone posted a solution in another post but didn't work for me.

@Pebbles1980 The solution already provided above didn't help?

@leocg
Unsure how to do this. Is it done within windows? I mean the folders? or in opera itself?
Which actual solution are you referring too? -

@Pebbles1980 In Opera, at the bookmarks manager page as said above.
