Maybe it wasn't uploaded yet to Opera's repository at the time you checked it. Now it's present there, so you can try to update again.
In the future, when this occurs again, you can download the package from the official ftp servers and install it manually.Otherwise, perhaps you speak about this?
"Do not change the entry in the first line from "stable" even if you use testing or unstable versions of your distro, otherwise you may receive the warning "W: Conflicting distribution: deb.opera.com" on issuing apt-get update." - which is mentioned here. -

Is it possible to bring back the previous button (show current tabs with recently closed and synced with other devices)? The search itself is quite useless as for me while a quick access to tabs open on mobile phone or at work is one of the best feature.
In previous beta release, I could bring it by switching off #search-in-open-tabs but now it's gone.
UP: If there is another way to see the open tabs on other devices - I would appreciate the hint.

@diveslip The flag which allowed it (opera:flags#search-in-open-tabs) is removed now, but you can still disable it in the latest Opera stable, and use the "Tab menu" there.
You can use Tabs icon in the Sidebar, or open
opera:activity. -

I moved from stable version to beta cause the search in closed tab button was replaced for a useless Search in tab button. Now this button was replaced here too. I'm tired to find unpleasant surprises each time I open this browser, is annoying you force people to update the browser. Unbelievable how bad choices are the developers making.

Some changes, fixes and improvements:
- DNA-87025 Incorrect active tab after opening Start Page folder items in new tabs.
- DNA-87104 Right click context menu becomes scrollable sometimes.
- DNA-87376 "Search in tabs" opens significantly slower in O69.
- DNA-87535 Sort out News on Start Page state.
Chromium is updated to version 84.0.4147.68.
