<![CDATA[Opera beta 70 - news]]>The Opera beta 70.0.3728.8 has entered beta stage ;-)
The change log and the announcement.
 
"What’s new:
- Search in Tabs now searches both: titles and content of open tabs.
- Recently closed tabs are now included in "Search in tabs".
- More fun icons have been added for creating new Workspaces."
 
Some changes, fixes and improvements:
- DNA-86983 Allow to search from the tile.
- DNA-87051 No autocompletion in the address bar for Speed Dials.
- DNA-87114 Double scrollbar in Bookmarks popup.
- Several crash fixes - more info in the change log.
 
New Opera's flags:
#handle-abp-protocol - enabled by default (ready to check)
#smart-files - disabled (work in progress)

Flags enabled by default in this build:
#sync-passphrase-papercuts
#search-in-closed-tabs
#search-text-in-tabs

Removed flags: #bookmarks-panel, #opera-doh, #history-panel, #search-in-open-tabs and #sidebar-extensions-in-browser-sidebar.
 
Chromium is updated to version 84.0.4147.56.

- DNA-87513 The "Tab Cycler" is too slow to appear.

Now this button was replaced here too. I'm tired to find unpleasant surprises each time I open this browser, is annoying you force people to update the browser. Unbelievable how bad choices are the developers making.

Don't know but I guess Opera tends to focus on 64 bits.

You can use Tabs icon in the Sidebar, or open opera:activity.

The search itself is quite useless as for me while a quick access to tabs open on mobile phone or at work is one of the best feature.

In previous beta release, I could bring it by switching off #search-in-open-tabs but now it's gone.

UP: If there is another way to see the open tabs on other devices - I would appreciate the hint.

Maybe it wasn't uploaded yet to Opera's repository at the time you checked it. Now it's present there, so you can try to update again.
In the future, when this occurs again, you can download the package from the official ftp servers and install it manually.

Otherwise, perhaps you speak about this?
"Do not change the entry in the first line from "stable" even if you use testing or unstable versions of your distro, otherwise you may receive the warning "W: Conflicting distribution: deb.opera.com" on issuing apt-get update." - which is mentioned here.
