I have the latest Opera 20.0.13...etc. I want to move my bookmarks to another computer, so I went for exporting the bookmarks as HTML document. How do I do that? It seams like there's no such option here. Some "how to" guides instructed to open "Import and Export" option under the Settings menu.... but I can't find it - is that for older versions?
Though there is an option "Bookmark importer" under the "More tools" submenu, and it's ... GREYED OUT - WHY?
I also installed Mozilla in order to use its option of "Import bookmarks from another browser". It didn't work cause it displayed only Internet Explorer as an option.
The Speed Dial and Stash features are nice, but this thing with bookmarks is driving me crazy!!!

There's no such option on Opera Blink yet, so you'll need to use an extension or just backup the favorites* ,* and bookmarks* .* files and restore them on the new computer.

Because there wasn't any Opera Presto profile importation during Opera Blink installation.

That's the problem, I can't backup those files (I don't know how to). I just can't find an option of exporting or of in any other way backuping those files.

I've also tried different extensions. None would enable me EXPORTING bookmarks that I've already made.

Yes, I could copy those files and paste them in Opera directory of another computer, but still I wouldn't be able to transfer them into another BROWSER.

Would installing some older Opera version solve the problem? Would then bookmarks be lost?

Are you using Windows 7? The bookmarks are, I think, in the profile, so the question is locating the profile in your computer.

Go to main menu, and click on About Opera. You will see the location of the Opera 20 profile.

In my computer it is at: C:\Users\MY NAME\AppData\Roaming\Opera Software\Opera Stable

[aside: There seems to be no folder in Opera 20 called profile. Rather the profile seems to be called Opera Stable. Does anyone know if "Opera Stable" is the "Profile Folder"][I'm assuming it is]

In the Opera Stable folder is a file called "bookmarks"

I think that's the file to copy -- maybe to a flash drive -- and onto the new computer. I would download Opera 20 in the new computer, and then substitute this "bookmarks file" for the one that comes with the download.

As to favorites, not sure what that relates to. There's a favorites.db file and a favorites.db-journal file. Perhaps leocg has in mind your copying those also into the profile of Opera in the New Computer.

Just backup them as you do with any other file backup: Just put a copy of them on another place. It can be another drive, a removable media, a storage space on the web, etc.

Yep. Just take a look at About Opera.
